What Just Happened?: A Public Zoom Forum
The 2020 election will break records for voter turnout. A recent poll shows that more than 60% of the American people say they have been consumed by anxiety as November 3 approaches, up by ten points from the anxiety level preceding the 2016 election.
By Wednesday afternoon we should know who will be the next President of the United States. Or will we?
Join us for a special two-hour town forum made possible by the Thomas Jefferson Hour from 4-6 p.m. Central Standard Time on Wednesday. Here’s the link to join: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3546230771
Note: You’ll need to download and install Zoom to be able to join the forum.
Hosted by Clay Jenkinson, with David Swenson in attendance, we’ll try to debrief the election and process What Just Happened?
To open the forum, Clay will provide analysis and commentary, and then bring in David Swenson for a short conversation in the manner of the Thomas Jefferson Hour. Most of the time will be devoted to the comments of our listeners and friends.
This forum is free and open to the public. Attendance is limited to 100 participants.
Ground rules for questions during the forum: No speeches. No ranting. No foul language. No personal attacks. We want a civil discussion. We’re interested in stories about voting activity in your community, anecdotes that shed light on the election, assessments of national Senate races in your state, etc. To be recognized by the moderator you will use the “raise your hand” feature on the Zoom platform, then have 30 seconds to comment or ask a question. Anyone who abuses the rules will be muted or possibly removed by the meeting facilitator.
Remember, what Mr. Jefferson stood for above all else is civility.
Join us, please.
